1. Devotion to the interests or culture of one’s nation.

2. The belief that nations will benefit from acting independently rather than collectively, emphasizing national rather than international goals.

3. Aspirations for national independence in a country under foreign domination.

4. Yes, nationalism can be preserved in the Global arena. It may mean sacrificing a little to gain a lot but it is possible.

5. I don’t think there are “founders” of nationalism. Each nation, by nature, is founded upon nationalism.

6. I don’t think the question is when did nationalism start to appear, I think it is when did globalization start to appear?
