Why can't I move the music from my CDs to the iPod?

I was putting music from my cds to the ipods it works with some cds, but it doesnt work with others if you know how can make it work tell me please thank you.

you would first have to download or copy them from your cd then convert them to the ipods mp3 or mp4 formation using your itunes
