I have the exact same problem! It’s not the billing. I called Customer Service, and they say it’s the area you live in. I live and a ‘Quadband” area and I had a “Triband” phone, so I couldn’t get service

Best bet is to pay the cell phone bill…or you can get one of those prepaid wireless phones. Since I moved around for a few years, I started using a prepaid, since the service in New York might be different than Oregon, for example, or even in teh next city.

As for the sim card, my thinking is if you change anything, it’s still the same phone number, and the company is providing a service - which they charge for - else they don’t make money. So odds are, anything other than paying the past due amount won’t make the mobile phone work any better. Best, thedude.

Your Samsung D500 is still locked to Orange network. that is why it says Limited service when any other SIM card is inserted to it. To remove the network lock, you need to enter it’s unique unlock code. You can get the unique unlock code for a Samsung d500 from http://www.theunlockspot.com/samsung-d500/rs16wp9/ at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide. Good luck mate.
