Missing boyfriend

My boyfriend hasnt contacted me for two days I have texted and rang but it just goes to asnwerfone im so worried because without him im nothing because I have depression and he always mkes me happy . Do you think he just needs time? (because he had some bad news from hopsital) should I wait for him to get in touch?
