I believe music composition. It will round you better in music 1. 2, it’s easier to self teach playing piano than it is music composition. Learning music composition will make it easier for you to read music & write your own music. Plus, if you can read music, it will may make it easier for to learn how to play more instruments, and, learning music composition will make your more employable. I have been in chorus for 6 years in high school. Right now I only know the basics of reading music. I honestly wish I had taken music composition or learned more of how to read and write music so when I create music I could write it down rather than record it on my phone & hope I have enough room. Plus, it would make it at least slightly easier for me in the band I’m in now. Defiantly learn musical compilation ASAP when you’re young, in school, and will use it most so it sets into your brain!

Definately music composition. Piano is pretty easy to teach yourself, anyone who really wants to can do it. Music composition on the other hand could take a while to be good at. And with that you learn the complete language of music and you will be able to develop an excellent ear for music… you will get to the point that you will hear a song on the radio and be able to write it on a peice of paper. then again piano chords important to know for a background in your music.
