Why is my ex on my mind all of a sudden?

I mean if you saw my last question/update you’d know I asked her to prom but it was as fiends and I had thought I was over her for awhile now. But literally starting yesterday she has been the only thing on my mind. Honestly I’ve been getting out alot more, hanging out with my friends alot more, and having so many baseball games/practices that baseball has been my biggest concern til yesterday….it makes no sense(well to me anyway)

Do you miss him/her? That might the answer, if you still love someone, they will linger in your mind for the rest of your life.

Answer #2

I understand where your coming from cause that happened to me a couple times. I don’t think of them at all cause I’m so busy and stressed with things like work, errands things I need to do. I’m always out with friends, so it keeps my mind off of things. But then something just out of the blue reminds me of him. Or all of a sudden out of no where i’ll have a dream about him and make me think the next day about stuff, when its been months when I haven’t had a dream at all. Sometimes things become slow in your life and gets your mind thinking more. Maybe your in a depressed mood so it also gets you in that mind set. was she your first real girlfriend? or first one you had loved?

Yea she was my first time. And we’ve gotten really close and our friends have joked around saying that we are like brother and sister now and knowing that they called us that sorta helped me get over her in the first place. I mean even now when I think of the idea of me and her I can’t help but think of the eventual break up which would suck since I’m gunna be in college and she’ll still be in high school so we probably wouldn’t talk/be friends anymore and I really would hate that. Also I know this will sound like bs but if you check out one of my last updates/quetstions(I forget what it got posted as) talking about how I’ve got this playlist that calms me down, but at the same time sorta makes me feel shitty, so like you said that might be a reason…wow it feels good to get some of that off my chest. Thanks

Yea the first time people they are always hard to get over, trust me. Their special cause no one can give us that first time back, you’ll always remember your first. I’m glad you feel better, it’s good to have someone to talk to that knows what your going through. Anytime you need to chat just message me, I’m here to help!

Answer #5

I know how you feel. My last boyfriend is always on my mind. All it means is you probablly still have feelings for her. I would just talk to your ex and work it out. Its possible that your ex still feeels the same way.

Answer #6

This could be from you missing them or even wanting them back it’s just something you get over eventually.

Answer #7

its always hard to just see someone differently… things dont happen overnight. itll take some time

Answer #8

Honestly, I’ve been this way too. It may be because you miss them or want to go back out with them. My Ex recently started dating my best friend and I have to see her ALOT. Maybe you see her and that is why you think about her. It could also be because you want to think about the good ol days :D

Anyways, if you want to talk more just message me.

Answer #9

Because you love him. <3

Answer #10

its just an emotional mix up, a distraction get over it if you both had seperated for a very good reason, experienced same some times back but i struggled and fought with my feelings, though i ahvent forgotten about him but ii figured out that my present relationship is more and more important to me, besides i had ditched my ex for a good reason and wouldnt want to go back there.
