How do you know they are abandoned?? The chances are, if they are wild, that she DID NOT abandon them…but was out feeding…

Do they have hair yet?

Answer #3

Should never have touched them. Phrannie is most likely right. No mother rabbit is going to sit there and watch you come up to her babies, she will run or she was out feeding.

Now you need to call Wildlife Conservation in your area. You can not keep wild rabbits or anything wild anymore, too many laws against it. It will be listed under your State name like:

Missouri Department of Wildlife Conservation - something like that. They are trained to care for them and put them on a reserve or something if they make it. Even if you live in a city you have a Conservation Dept.

Answer #4

firstly try not to handle them too much they can carry diseases that humans can catch. baby rabbits never do that good without a mom. the best advice I could give would be to call the local animal control authorities and let them take them to a wildlife sancuary or rehab facility. they will have trained people who can deal with the bunnies a lot better . or try to leave them at the site you found them and see if momma comes back if not you’ll need to bottle feed them like 6 times a day until you get them to someone who can take care of them…
