What is the meaning to the song "Fly Over States" By Jason Aldean?

I just listened to it right now. I think the lyrics are pretty simple to understand. Basically, it’s about appreciating states in the US that are kind of overlooked by most people, such as Indiana, Kansas, and Oklahoma. People spend a lot of time paying attention to places with big cities, and not so much on “fly over states”.

I think the meaning of it is that most people don’t care about small towns or unpopular states. The people who are like Who’d wanna live down there? have never actually experienced being in the country, so they talk crap about it. They don’t realize how hard farmers actually work.

its about a bunch of rich guys that think all of the farms and small towns should be destroyed and made into big factories and things that have money involved they don’t care about what we have i live in a small town and i have people ask me why do i like it so much i just do thats what its about.
