ok last year I had problems like there are 5 red shirts and 3 blue hats, all together they coast 72.00, how much is one red shirt and one blue hat? how the hell is this done its so confusing and I need to know by this year PLEAASE HELLP

Well, 5 is an easy number to work with. You can divide 5 into any number that ends in 5 or zero (like 10). So there are 3 hats. if the hast cost only a $1 then you would have $69 left for the shirts, not good for the 5 into $69 so lets say the shirts cost $4 each then that would leave $60 left for the shirts, So if the hats cost $4 then the shirts would cost $12. (5 X 12 = 60) + (4 X 3 = 12) = 72.

uh well we would need to know the entire question… there’s absolutely no way to answer your question for the information you have provided… however, it’s a simple matter of algebra, if for example, 5r + 3b = 72, now I really do need more info to give you the second equation so that I can complete it…
