Is anyone here in marching band or has been in one?

I was in marching band in my old school. It was cool, although it’s hard to play the intrument while you are walking or doing some kinda rutine, but you get used to it. You can play any band instrument you want, because if it’s a full band they have it. The songs where up to the teacher, unless she would accept suggestions. They are also up beat, something that can give spirit. We had concerts like in the school sports events sometimes, and we once got to go to a festival and stuff, that was cool. You wear, most of the time, some type of uniform that has your school colors and stuff, maybe hats, depends on the school too.

I am in one , we do parades for Mardi Gras (so much fun) and we do the regular stuff also like concerts,football games,etc. hmmm what make my band unique….i dont know theres a lot of reasons why one reason is that we wow the crowd but not the judges(you get what i mean) yea we arent exactly the best sounding and well synchronized band, but gives us a break we’ve had 6 different band directors in the last 3 years. what songs do we play;well i dont know every band director has his own style and each time i have to change the style to fit them we’ve played hip hop,funk,rock,pop,classical,etc.yup……
