What is a lubricant I can use on my ear piercing?

I’m putting a new earring in my ear, and since it is still pretty new I know it’s gonna hurt. So what is a lubricant I can use to help ease the earring in? Also, how soon is too soon to change the earring? (keep in mind one earring is going out and immediately another one is going in.) Please and Thank you! :)

Answer #1

Any water-based lubricant would do. I don’t suggest vaseline because it clogs your pores.

Answer #2

Changing earrings really isn’t painful when it’s new unless it’s like not healed or infected. I think you can change it after 4 weeks but I’d di 6 just in case. You don’t really need lubricant but if you feel the need I’d just use water.
