Love Behind Bars

I have been with boyfriend for sometime, and he was on bail for drug charges, and he didnt tell me when we got to together because; he wanted to be judged for who he was not what he did.

So therefore with time it got harder for him to tell what was making feel so down, and eventually he sent me text that he would be sent down for 3 years for drug charges…at the end of the day he is great person, and he just made a stupid decison to wrap him self in all that, he is a graduate and he finished with a first class degree, so he isnt a bum what so ever he lost everything, and he is aware of that…However because he going for so long, he has advised to move on, he says he loves as a friend, and what I can become,…but cant love me as a lover…because I have needs that he wont be able to fulfil behind bars…But at the end of the day. I love him very much, and although he said to move on, he is saying that cause he feels it wouldnt be fair for me to wait…but right now im studying at he has made me more focused to achieve the best of me…and he says that he would like to remain friends…But what should I do?

He does still love me, but due to the circumstance he is unable to think with his heart, he has to think with his head so that he can get through this…I just need to support him…He wasnt only my lover he was also my friend…should I wait for him?If I get with anyone else they will just be a rebound…I need to use the time to grow and get to know my self
