Beleive me, you really don’t won’t to be that thin. I am 54 years old and I weigh 112 & I’m 5’8”. I’ll attach a picture. Your friends may look cute at their weight but it also depends on how tall you are and they are. You are fine at 122. I’m trying to gain weight because I keep losing. I worry about what I’m going to do when I get down to 100 or less. I got down to 90 pounds when I was in my 40’s and going through Chemotherapy for Cancer. I wasn’t too cute either. Now I’m disabled with COPD (Emphysema) and as you can see in the photo, I’m on oxygen. Be glad that you are healthy, assuming that you are and try to be happy with your weight. It could be a lot worse. If you are exercising and gaining weight, you may need to have your Thyroid levels checked. It’s just a simple blood test. If they find that you have Hypo-thyroidism, then that’s the reason you’re gaining. All you have to do is take a pill called Synthroid, once a day. I hope this helps.

Are you starving yourself while you extersize? If you are, the reason your gaining weight, is that your body thinks that its not going to get food again, so it stores evrthing you eat as fat.

1st of all, dont let your friends be the guide for what you should look like! you may think that being super thin is so pretty on them, but I know lots of guys who think seeing ribs and collar bones through a chicks skin is gross! Most of them would prefer a girl who is average sized. rather than trying to be super thin, why dont you exercise to be the healthiest you. check with your doc 1st to make sure you are in the kind of condition to begin a 5-6 day a week exersice routine. if you get the green light, try walking or jogging 2 miles 2-3 times a week, and resistance training 2-3 days a week. Eat healthy foods in the right portion sizes. remember this is not a weight loss plan, but a fitness plan. a well toned, fit body is way, way prettier than a skinny body anyday…ask anyone!
