What to do during a long car ride?

but we are leaving in the middle of the day. and if i read ill get car sick

you could think of some kind of game to play with the people in the car with you.

Stay up the whole night/day before & sleep in the car. Draw. Listen to your iPod. Play ispy. Read. Get an activity book with like puzzles, word searches, stuff like that. Coloring book.

I understand what you mean about reading making you sick in the car, the same happens to me. Anyway if you have an iPod you should fully charge it before the trip, then try and waste a few hours listening to music. If you have any portable electronics that allow you internet access, to watch movies or play games you should bring that along. If not, you could try playing road games with your family, such as the I Spy or trying to name all 50 states. Beyond that there’s not much else to do besides take in scenery.

Talking and sleeping always makes the time go by faster :)

stay up all night and then sleep the whole way down. Thats what i did. Bring a book to read or a phone to text on. Play those silly car games (look em up on google) and even though theyre stupid itll help pass time.

Sleeping is a good solution but it is impossible to sleep the whole trip. Since reading makes me get the motion sickness, I usually spend the trip listening to the music, counting the turns (sounds weird but helps me to fall asleep) and mostly just enjoy the scenery, take some pictures of them.

Get a magazine, word search/puzzle kind of book thing. Ipod. sleep deffinatly. coloring book? (sounds lame yeah, but surprisingly fun sometimes :D )

Take Laptop + Good Films or , good serial. (The last trip i was watching “Friends”) +Some vodka cocktails ;)

And the trip will pass quickly!!

Pull a set of cards or use the computer to make up and print your own and keep a family scoresheet of who answers the most questions. There are also games and puzzle games designed for car rides. You can usually find them at a Toys R Us or a small hand held etcho sketch to draw on, which you can do tic tack toe, hang man on too.

Oops….I meant pull a set of cards from a trivial pursuit game or make one up.

im going to SC to get on a cruise ship and we dont wanna fly because its winter so if the plan gets delayed to the next day or something we wont make it in time.

Most of my long car trips I’m occupied driving. When I have time to kill flying I play games on my phone.

I’ve been to a long family trip it took 15 hours I had plans for my holiday but I had to go on a family trip my cousins were there ones pinky her name is Anna but she called herself pinky and she’s really pink i’ve a really cool cousin just like me to pass time I played rock paper scissors and we all stoped to get gas but I and my cousin ( Monica ) fell asleep my parents were trying to wake us up but then like 2 minutes I and Monica’s heads were coming together at the end our heads crashed together we really had to use the toilet but monica went first I really had to use the toilet since I was older than her with 5 days I let her go first and we were there in 2 hours. If ur going with a cousin do what I did it’s great fun
