I would class most of the stuff by the composers listed at this site: . http://funadvice.com/r/14r58haaami . as “great music” from what is classified as the “Romantic” era of classical music - that is within the Victorian era. Each composer listed is a link to some further information, including extracts from some of their best known works.

Also, anything by Gilbert and Sullivan is entirely in the Victorian era, their best known works being the operas: the Mikado, H.M.S. Pinafore, and the Pirates of Penzance
