Lip piercings questions

Some people say if you get it half way on your lip it scaring is less noticeable. Is this true?

Does gages effect scaring? what would you recomend?

What is the scaring like after?

I have a friend who has her lip pierced and I assume that it does matter how big of a gauge you use. The bigger the gauge, obviously the bigger the scar will be. I’m not sure what you mean by “half way on your lip.” Explain that a little better and I’ll try to help or hopefully someone else comes along and knows what you mean :)

im not really sure what you mean do you mean if you get it peirced in the middle of your actual lip, if so the scarring would be a bit less noticable, because your lips are draker than your skin but you could still see it gauges effect scarring a bit but no matter how big or small it is, its a hole, and every hole will cause some scarring if you say stretched the area there would be lots more scaring, and the skin might not be able to heal properly 16 gauge is the average one they use on lips, eyebrows, around the mouth ect if you deciude to take it out later on youll be left with a small pimple sized scar and if you decide to take it out many years later, sometimes the hole wont close up
