she said ‘because I said so’, I hate it when she does that. but I really want and don’t want to wait, she calls it mutilation. what can I do?

u should give her a reason why and make sure its a good one and maybe she will let you get one

Explain to her it’s NOT mulitation, it’s a form body art/self expression. Let her know that they can be removed if you’d ever decide you didn’t want them anymore, simply take the jewlery out and never put it back in. Also let her know that as long as they’re done professionally and properly cared for, there won’t be any problems. NEVER do it yourself though, that’s NOT smart OR safe and there’s BIG chances for things like infections. Not something you want. You can also still get a job even though you have them, you just have to look for them so ignore anyone who tells you otherwise.

That’s a very annoying parent response lol And explain to her that it’s NOT a form of mutilation… it’s a form of body modifaction and self expression. It’s your body so you should be able t do whatever you want with it, but sadly your parents DO have the final say so UNTIL you turn 18. Maybe you could get a fake one to put it in and see how she reacts to that.

Well then ask her why she doesn’t want you getting it.

I told her I want it as a sort of right of passing into teenagehood and out of childhood. it didnt work. I really want it!!
