In the song ‘let her cry’ by hootie and the blowfish it says..

She sits alone by a lamppost,trying to find a thought that’s escaped her mind.she says dad’s the one I love the most,but stipe’s not far behind..

My question is who/what is stipe?

a stipe is the stem of supporting stalk or stem-like structure.. so unless I’m mistaken.. I’m going to assume they’re talking about marijuana
