What kind of make up should I use to cover up my blemishes?

I’ve been using St.Ives Natural Clear ance treatment for about a week new and most of my ance is gone but i’m left with these dark spots all over my face. In till I find a fading cream I want to cover them up. I don’t really know anything about foundation and I also WILL NOT use that nasty looking liquid foundation. My mom uses it and i’m just not ok with putting mud on my face, I rather have a power or something light. I don’t really know how to use Foundation or Blush, i’ve just heard tips. I don’t know what a Concealer, Setting Powder, or Contour & Highlight is. So i’m pretty much she a freshie at this. So can you please explain what these things are, what I should use, and what are some good brands I can use for my skin tone?

Answer #1

Use a green concealer then just put on your foundation. My favorite brand of makeup is Femme Couture, you could use MAC or Maybelline they’re good brands.

Answer #2

Use concealer read about it here http://funadvice.com/r/bojrnvnjmbp or you can watch youtube videos on how to apply it. Concealer is actually really good,i use it when I have red blemishes on my face and foundation fails to hide it, I use concealers which come as the stick I use this one http://funadvice.com/r/15l5v6buq43 If you’re unsure I guess you could go into one of the local make up stores and ask an assistant to tell you or recommend good concealers.

For my face, I start with a moisturizer and as an option, use a hair dryer on low on it for a few seconds to set it. Then I apply a liquid (you can also get a cover stick) concealer just on dark blemishes. (I choose liquid because I like that I can let it dry. ) Let that dry. That’s when I usually apply makeup to my eyes. After it’s dry or mostly dry, I mix some moisturizer and liquid foundation and mix those together and apply them evenly to my face and neck. Since you don’t like liquid foundation, I would recommend using Bare Minerals ‘Bisque’ powder in place of concealor followed by Bare Minerals foundation powder of your choice(: hope this helps!
