Jobs for ex-offenders is san antonio

Does anyone have any recommendations for jobs for ex-offenders in san antonio, tx. I wasn’t even convicted and I finished my probation but the record keeps coming up and no one will touch me. I need help finding something here, any advice? I have a very strong background as a senior administrative assistant and would really love to work but even the temp agencies won’t give me a chance.

what kind of offender?

Answer #5

Well forgery will def wind your options down a ways… even if you had a college degree, it’s hard to bounce back from any kind of felony theft charge… Your going to have to take a warehouse job, carwash, etc… for a few years, stay clean, and then someone will most likely give you the shot you’re looking for…

Answer #9

Go to blockbuster and tell them you have a felony from the start. They claim to hire felons as long as it was not a dangerous crime.

Answer #10

I am an ex offender in San Antonio Texas and have had no problem finding a job. I did not have to take a job at Burger King, but almost just as bad. West Telemarketing. I recommend that anyone who can stand it go to all of the call centers. Of course this is a high stress, under appreciated, no brainer, boring job. But it pays the bills. The hourly pay is usually pretty decent… between about nine and eleven dollars. I’ve come to find out that if you are aggressive in your job search, using every resource you can get your hands on and present yourself in a professional manner, well employers are willing to give you a chance. Eight months ago, I was pretty discouraged by all of the answers I saw on sites like this. Noone seemed to have anything positive to add. Well, I hope anyone who reads this realizes that it is all in your hands how quickly you find a job.
