How to get a job to earn money for a car, without a car?

There are no buses or taxi’s around here, and even if there were… I wouldn’t be able to afford it.

Also, I don’t know anyone that could take me to work.

Answer #1

You could get a part time job during the summertime earn a bit of cash. Or keep a part time job for a year and buy a used car. If you are trying to earn enough for a brand new car good luck.

Answer #2

Find a store or some small type business close to you and see if it’s bicyle/walk distance.

Answer #3

How would I get to work without a car though? I think you misunderstood my question. :/

Answer #4

I don’t have a bike and there is nothing walking distance around here. Everything sucks. :/

Answer #5

I think you are out of options then. Maybe you could visit family and wash their cars and stuff

Answer #6

that is a tough one. ummm are u a single mom? if so there are programs that have rides to take u to work and grants for single moms

Answer #7

woop no i seen ur ring.. its pretty by the way.. wat about ur man? does he have a car?

Answer #8

Where do you live? :/ and umm try looking for sonething you can do at home or online

Answer #9

set your own business up and help garden peoples houses.

Answer #10

look for what people need in your area walking dogs etc

Answer #11

Why would I want to wash cars? I need an actual job… to pay rent and bills. Washing a car for $5 isn’t going to do anything.

Answer #12

No, I’m not a mom at all… and no, my fiance doesn’t have a car either. We live together, so if he did… well, I wouldn’t have this problem.

Answer #13

You might want to consider buying a bike. If you can’t afford one at the time sign up for welfare or get a loan or something.

Answer #14

is neither of u workin? some places will take a large down poayment for a car.. but u can save up some of his money every paycheck till u get like 1200.. go out that down on a car at a used car lot. try baby sitting as well. put out posters and flyers to watch kids. can make money that way

Answer #15

He is working, making between $100 and $150 every two weeks. There is a van that comes and picks him up though. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be working there with no car. We can’t get a car until I get a job… because we need money coming in to pay the insurance and everything.

Answer #16

hitch a lift into town with the van that takes your fella?

Answer #17

They won’t do that. They will only pick up the people that work there… to and from work.

Answer #18

ok, fair enough.

Answer #19

find a job that will pick you up.

Answer #20

Well could you get a job where Lee is working?

Answer #21

Hmmm this is tricky. What do other people your age in your area do for money? You could try babysitting/gardening/walking dogs/ shoveling snow for neighbors within walking distance. You could sell things at a market like I suggested somewhere else.. You could see neighbors and ask where they work, try and get a job close, and see if your neighbors would be kind enough to give you a lift. Or as I just said before, could you get a job where Lee works so that you can go in on the van?

Answer #22

Probably not… Plus, I would have to go through way too much trouble just to get to work there if they would let me… you have to get a lot of papers, go through counseling, and dr.ug classes, and more crap to work there… and the pay isn’t worth it at all. It’s like $3 an hour. :/ It took Lee months to get to work there.

Answer #23

They work at little restaurants and grocery stores… but they are not hiring at the moment, and even if they were… I don’t have a car to drive to and from work. How can I get a car for a job, with no job? lol I am so aggravated. :(

Answer #24

I heard of a summer job in California or something. You get hired to fight wildfires and i heard they pay for room and board also. it’s run by the government so check some government sites.

Answer #25
