Issues w/ guys

Hey everybody =) Well I have been having problems with this one guy for a while. I was talking to him and then we had a fight and distanced ourselves for a while. Later on we went back to talking again but we had another fight. I got asked out by this guy and well I said yes. I wasn’t in the guy really but whatever. So the guy found out about it and got mad at me! Why? And well I really like that guy and I was hoping someone could give me some advice PLEASE!!!
