Why isn't my Sims 3 updating?

I’ve been trying for a month now to update my game, but as it gets RIGHT to the end, it says: Update Error: Invalid File Found. what do i do? I want this updated..lol. I currently have game version: 8.0.152.011001

Umm are you running it from the disc? and making sure the disc is clean? make sure ur wifi is working well. and make sure you are looking for a correct update.. if not try to look it up itself on the websire.
