How do I get my address bar back on my browser?

Why isn’t there a bar at the top of my internet so i can type in the website i want to to go to and how do i get it back?

it helps to know what browser your using…

for future reference ::|

all you need to do in firefox is right click the bar at the top and select navigation bar.
