Well, if this cousin is close to you, and has never ratted on you, than yes, but then again there are many cases of that. I wouldn’t worry about it, I would rather be truthful than a liar.

‘Snitching’ is just a slang term created to make you feel guilty for being honest.
Tell him he should of owned up to it in the first place when he calls you a snitch. .
