Is my New Tongue piercing infected?

I just go mine done 3 days ago. its still swollen. and that gross white crap is commin outta it. which apparently is normal according to everything I’ve read. the only thing thats scaring me is the indent on the top of my tongue where the ball is resting got bigger over the night.

I just pierced my own yesterday. I pierced it by myself, and it didn’t hurt, but Its very swollen and bruised. There is redness almost orange in some areas. Is it infected? what should I do?

Midol will help with the swelling and the ookey stuff is normal. Do like everyone has suggested and keep rinsing with Listerine. The blue Listerine doesn’t taste that bad,lol

no, I got mine done 3 days ago and the swelling has gone down I can eat everything I want I even ate meat yesterday and the lump is also normal around the tongue ring this can sometimes last for a month or until the bar is changed in 2 weeks :]

Don’t worry, it’s normal. The white mucus stuff is part of the healing process, just keep it clean & gargle with some uniodined sea salt water. It should be swollen for a few days to a week (sometimes longer)

no, its normal. I have mines pierced too and I kinda freaked out too just keep using mouth wash. the healing depends on the person and how you take care of it. Everyone heales diffrently.

Nope, the white stuff is completely normal. I just asked my best friend that has her done.

I had my tongue pierced for about 8 weeks and it still has white stuff in the bottom of it and it is red around the bottom of it is it infected?
