Is my camera broken?

I was in japan over the summer and I went to the beach I got sand in the camra now it makes wieard sounds and I cant take pics it just makes sounds is it broken???

Sounds like its broken - sand in the mechanism won’t do it any favours. Is it a film or digital camera? If you have some idea about cameras and their workings, plus electronics, you could open it up and try clearing out the sand, at the risk of totally ruining it. But you could also try taking it to a repair shop - how old is the camera, does it have a warranty? But it definitely doesn’t sound like its going to work again without some sort of repair.
