money is not everything… it just makes life more easier but mybe not happier.

First of all, there’s a difference between money ‘being everything’ and money ‘ruling the world’.

In some ways, money rules the world, or is at least very important at many levels, from countries (more wealthy nations tend to have more power and influence) all the way down to the local community level, since in many places rich people are admired and have influence.

But from there it’s a long step to saying that money is everything. It can buy things (whether weapons for the national army, or fancy equipment for your home), but it can’t buy:

1. inner peace
2. true friends
3. wisdom

If you don’t have any money getting your basic life needs is constantly urgent.

When your basic needs are met you are free to seek your more sublime needs.

If you don’t have any money it can be the most important thing in the world but with sufficient money you are free to place higher value on other things.

Maslow divised a hierarchy of needs ranging from the most immediate (air) to the least (creativity, beauty, etc). When the most pressing needs are met like air, water, food, shelter we seek the higher level needs.

Nobody who is drowning or starving worries about “finding themselves.” They worry about where their next breath of air or next meal is coming from.

no human emotions are whats ruling us sure money plays a big part, but its not everything it doesnt buy love and it only buys temporary happiness
