Is liposuction painful and how much does it cost?

Is Liposuction Painful? And How Old do you have to be to get it done?? And How much does It cost in the UK?

Answer #1

The amount or degree of pain experienced with the procedure will vary from person to person. Most patients, however, find it to be more of a discomfort than pain. Your doctor can prescribe pain medication to help alleviate any discomfort that you experience. Further, the newer techniques, such as UAL and the tumescent technique, tend to have the added benefits of decreased pain.

To be a good candidate for liposuction, you must have realistic expectations about what the procedure can do for you. It’s important to understand that liposuction can enhance your appearance and self confidence, but it won’t necessarily change your looks to match your ideal or cause other people to treat you differently. Before you decide to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with your surgeon.

The best candidates for liposuction are normal-weight people with firm, elastic skin who have pockets of excess fat in certain areas. You should be physically healthy, psychologically stable and realistic in your expectations. Your age is not a major consideration; however, older patients may have diminished skin elasticity and may not achieve the same results as a younger patient with tighter skin.

Liposuction carries greater risk for individuals with medical problems such as diabetes, significant heart or lung disease, poor blood circulation, or those who have recently had surgery near the area to be contoured.

Thus, it is a Case-By-Case Range, per Age Dynamics… Though Preferably at least 16-18 if not older.

Liposuction causes some discomfort but the doctors who perform this proceedure perscribe postoperative pain medicine. This operation generally costs thousands of dollars in the US with the exact amount depending on if local or general anesthetic is used and the size and number of areas treated.

Of course like any operation liposuction can cost you your life as well. There are the risks of anesthesia and embolisms. Your doctor may accidently puncture an organ. Since liposuction is such a popular proceedure some of the doctors who perform it are not surgeons.

Hello!

The pain from liposuction depends on the skill of the surgeon, the area of the body you will treat, the elasticity of your skin and finally the technique you will opt for.. there are modern techniques which are minimum invasive! In this case the recovery period is much shorter!

And the cost of lipo in England obviously depends on the above factors and it varies between $1000-$9000!
