is it legel to move out at age 17 in texas?

im turing 17 next month and want to move out. Do I need my parent’s consent? Is it legal or will I be charged as a runaway?

Answer #1

‘Age of Majority’ in most states is 18 - you could call the clerk of court office and they could tell you for your state and you could ask about ‘emancipation’ requirements if desired…Take care !!

Answer #2

Answer #3

I looked it up on google and it said yes :)

Answer #4

I’m pretty sure the answer is no it is not legal to move out at 17… Keep in mind, if you move in with someone who is over 18 and your parents press charges, they could get into trouble…
