Is Cape Cod a good place to go in the winter?

Is Cape Cod a good place to go in the winter? I have gone there in the summer and I am trying to use some of my vacation time at work , but I can’t afford much. Cape Cod in the summertime was very cool, but is there anything going on during the winter? I found really cheap hotels in Provincetown and Martha’s Vineyard. I would like to visit Nantucket as well.

I was born on the Cape in Hyannis. Cape Cod is cold, grey and overcast most of the winter. Expect a chilly breeze lots of rain but no lines at the few restaurants that are open. Not A lot to do in winter either. If your looking to just get away you can get good deals with motels that have indoor pools and nice comfortable rooms. I would stick around the Mid Cape area, Hyannis, Yarmouth. At least you will have some restaurants too chose from and the movie theatres are open year round. Hearth and Kettle has good food, Seafood Sams in Yarmouth opens the end of march. Good food at Captain Parkers too right on Rt 28 near the Aquarium. Be sure to get there Clam Chowder. Its awesome!! Stay clear of the islands til after Memorial Day. You may find it hard to find a place to eat or even get out of the weather! peace
