Are "in-law" and "outlaw" the same thing?

Answer #1

Nahh.. An in-law is the parent of your spouse, like a mother-in-law or a father-in-law. An outlaw is a person running from the law, like Billy the Kid.

No, inlaws are people related to you by marriage. Outlaws were what society called people that were troublemakers back in the day, like people who were always in trouble with the law ;)

Answer #9

No, in-laws are someone who is in your family for ex. If my brother married a girl she would be my sister in-law. Those rules don’t apply for dating though. An outlaw is someone who breaks the law on a regular basis for ex. A bandit. Usually when someone hears outlaw they think back to the wild west. It might be the same thing if your in-law IS an outlaw… :)
