Can you control an infrared DVD remote through a wall?

Is it possible to to get a dvd player to operate via remote through (around etc.) a wall? How?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible but you need to buy a special receiver such as POWERMID. It small pyramids. The transmitter picks up the infrared signal of your remote control and converts it into a radio (RF) signal. This signal is transmitted around the entire house, through walls and ceilings. The receiver converts the radio signal to infrared and beams it to your equipment. You can use your own original remote control: all functions are converted one by one.
