You risk being rejected by those of your own cultural background, and not really accepted by those of the cultural background that you seek to adopt. . Much better to retain your cultural roots with pride whilst being friendly and welcoming to those of all other cultures, without trying to imitate them. .

First, you stand the chance of forgetting your own culture. Second, you may end up being forced to accept a lot of stereotypes that you did not plan on. And third, you have to settle in your heart that you turned your back on all your ancestors and what they stood for.
