What do you think when you hear the term ‘immigrant’?

Answer #1

A person who comes to a country where they were not born in order to settle there - two types: 1) legal - follows long established laws/rules leading to citizenship - through the system the government has set up, or 2) illegal - those who ‘go around’ or disregard the established norms for entry/citizenship…Hope this helps !!

Answer #2

I think of people who are moving to find a better life. If it’s legal, then I respect any immigrants. I’ve heard it’s a horribly long process. My grandfather, grandmother, and mother actually immigrated from Italy when my mother was 3. It was legal and my grandfather always says he has worked hard to live in this country.

Answer #3

my mum is a immigrant but legal…the system is f*cked it if it’s legal or illegal.

Answer #4

I think of me! My family and I left England for France three years ago. There are other immigrants in our area too - from Northern Africa, Asia and other European countries. Learning a new language, and, even harder, understanding a new culture, can be really difficult. Sometimes we make what seem to be stupid mistakes because French society just works differently from what we expect. Please be tolerant of any immigrants around you - it’s not easy but we only come in the first place because we love your country!

Answer #5

They are just frustated people seeking to go to another country to improve their situation.

Answer #6

badasschucky, I am not a hater…I’m a immigrant myself.
