What if I want to be punk but my friend thinks I'm copying her?
I love and want to be a punk..but one of my good friend(a selfish kind) loves punks too but doesnt know that I love them before she did…and now she’s saying that im trying to copy her or even be her…which I think thats nonsense but I dont want to lose her as well.. what do I do?
Why does she care how you dress If you are expressing yourself and you just happening to be copying her to tell her to blow off shes a poser.
Do whatever you want. But maybe do it differently from her, spend a little less time with her. I have got a mate who definitely copies me.. hell she is even stuck to me like glue which is sooo annoying. I took up the guitar, so did she, I got my ears pierced, so did she, I like a brand of clothing, she starts buying them!!! ANNOYING!!! (Ha but I outwitted her.. I told her I was gonna get my nose pierced even though I weren’t she went ahead and got it and now hates it lol).
Just be yourself.. If she is selfish, you need to tell her, yeah truth hurts but you wanna stay her mate!
The wqy that you dress and the music that you listen to should not define you, or your relationships with other people. I understand that you aren’t copying your friend (it isn’t as though she invented the punk lifestyle) but even if you were, WhO cArEs? It isn’t that big of a deal, and if she is behaving in such an immature way, maybe she wasn’t the most reliable friend. Be what you want to be!!!
