that they’re there to listen to you go on and on about what happened, reassure you that it wasn’t your fault, and cut off the icecream and alchohol consumption.

in more extreme casses (such as mine at one point) the shoulder may even convince you that you’re life is worth living.

it means there willing to listen to you if you have a problem, you can come to them and cry on ther shoulder, talk about what happened, ect and they’ll listen
