Is there a main advisor?
is there 1 main advisor or is everybody an advisor to somebody elese ???
If you click the advisor button at the top it with give you a list of who is and if they post it normally shows up that they are with a yellow tag.
If you’re talking about the group of advisors on the site, there are about ~63 of them but only about ~15 whom are active with their status. Anyways advisors on FunAdvice are high rated users who got promoted to do more for the site than the average user, they patrol the site to help keep it a safe place and to make sure users are following the terms of use policy. There is no ‘main’ advisor, everyone is doing that same thing but we do have an ‘Our Featured Advisor’ that changes from time-to-time whom you can see on the ‘Advisors’ page tab.
It depends on what you mean by the word “advisor”. Everyone on here who gives advice is technically an advisor. However, there are some people on the site who have additional features and responsibilities, they can delete questions, move them to the right category (the list goes on), those are called advisors, and have a yellow badge next to their name. The admin on this site are thedude, editor, and stephanie.
About Advisors Who are advisors Advisors are the official voice of Funadvice, and are users just like you and me. Users get promoted to advisors when they’ve either ranked highly by other users, or have just provided great answers.
How do I become an advisor? You can become an advisor by first providing highly rated and clear answers. Contact us with a few of the answers you’ve provided and we’ll consider upgrading your account to advisor status.
Many Advisors answer a question! Yes, multiple advisors (and you) can answer a single question. The first advisor to answer the question will be considered the “official” advisor, and they will be promoted as such on the question page.
Are the guidelines for what advisors should and should not do? Yes, you can read them in the advisor’s guide.
http://www.funadvice.com/advisors - It will show you who all the advisors are
A correction to the part in the Advisors Guide:
“Many Advisors answer a question! Yes, multiple advisors (and you) can answer a single question. The first advisor to answer the question will be considered the “official” advisor, and they will be promoted as such on the question page.”
The first Advisor to answer the question and have the “Did you find this answer helpful?” Clicked on the “Yes” link will be the Advisor who is advanced to the top of the Answers list.
