Some people dont really gain all that much weight while other gain a lot. Have you been taking pre natal vitamins, eating correctly and going to all your check ups?

Answer #2

every girls pregnancy is different, some women dont even notice any weight gain when there pregnant (though thats rare) but it usually just takes time, you might not be as big or as small as other girls pictures you’ve seen, but your tummy will most likley grow as the baby gets bigger

I read on a few places on the internet that women pregnant with their first child often gain less weight / gain weight slower then compared to those who have already had one child.

Like ‘jazlovestoskate’ suggested, all pregnancies are different. If you are really concerned, speak to a doctor. Even if they haven’t transfered your data, it can’t prevent you from just going in and asking a few general questions.

each pregnancy is different, doesnt have a thing to do with it being the woman. Some babies reguire much more fod and the mother packs on the extra weight. Some women eat and it goes no where. Some pregnancies have more water weight. I am saying this because…I am preganant with number 5. I have gained 13 lbs and am 8mo. I gained 55 lbs with 1st, 20 with 2nd, 22 with 3rd, 40 with 4th and 13 now. just depends, bu doctor will be able to answer you best.

With a first pregnancy its quite commen to not gain weight or to show as soon. I didnt even look pregnant until i was 7 months along with my first. Your only 16 weeks and not that far along, not having weight gain is normal. Your baby weighs only ounces at this point and your uterus is still below your stomach area so you wouldnt really be showing yet. You NEED to take those prenatals though, you cant just stop taking them. Those vitamins are not only important for the baby, your body needs them as well. What brand are you taking? I had a problem with my prenatals too and i just switched to the walmart brand….they come in a pink box. They havent made me sick at all. It also helps to make sure you take them on a full stomach and at night before bed instead of in the morning.
