I want to go university, but I'm really not good at english

I’m in Canada and I know my people think Canadian university is much more easier to enter, compare to other countries. My average mark in grade 11 was btw 80. I was in level 1 math. Except math, other subjects in level 2. I already took Chem12 and Bio11 this year. My english mark was really bad in Sem1. And still I’m straggle with my english. I came to Canada when I was in 16 years old. I know it’s hard to get good mark in english. I want to majoring RN(Resistered Nurse) in University. But, I’m really not sure I can.. I also have to do TOEFL, but TOEFL is too hard for me.. I’m really not sure …

I want to know what I have to study for TOEFL/ etc.. Thank you for reading my writing.

Answer #1

get a c thats all, I rely on coursework which is at A* for me because in exams my mind goes blank and english unis rso hard to get into

Answer #2

Rosetta Stone!!! Best teacher ever, I am learning Arabic from it. But if english is your second language can I assume your first is French? In any case a nurse that can speak a different language is a HUGE value.

Anyway, go and visit a college and ask them what they can do for you, your english is actually pretty good compared to most kids these days.

Answer #3

Most colleges and universities require a minimum proficiency in the English language. There is even a test for that purpose. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Speak with your guidance counselor for advice and information.

Answer #4

The program Rosetta Stone can help you learn English…I wish you every success !!

Answer #5

there are a HUGE number of schools in America, you’ll be fine. People go over without knowing a word of English and figure it out. If you really want to do it and are willing put in some work you’ll make it.
