I really want to babysit

I am 13, and I really want to babysit and earn some of my ow cash. I have neighbors across the street, they have a 3 year old and one younger. I wanna baby sit for them, and I have a teeny bit of experience, how should I approach the situation, should I just let them know that I’m available if they want, or should I just let them ask me, because they once mentioned if I was old enough to my mom. Help?

Answer #1

Just mention to them that you are available. Thirteen is the age you are legally allowed to watch over children.

If you want to go all out and earn lots of cash, try taking a first aid and CPR class…your local YMCA normally holds a class for that. Then you can post an ad, and with this extra expertise, you’ll be getting calls in no time. :)

Answer #2

just tell them you are here if they need a babysitter tell them how much you would like if you do sit for them then go from there

Answer #3

I would let them know you are available.

As a doctor, I would encourage people looking to babysit to learn some simple first aid, in case of emergencies.

From your message you seem very mature and responsible young lady. On the first few times it would be good to know your mum or another responsible adult is just across the road to help out.

Don’t spend all the money at once!

Answer #4

Find out from your mom first of all if she does think you’re mature enough to babysit two small children and make sure she doesn’t object to you doing so. Then, I would let your neighbor know that if she needs you to look after her kids a couple hours after school or on the weekends, that you’d be happy to help and your mom said it was ok.

Answer #5

First of all, you deffinetly need some experience to be handling some kids that you dont know. I think you should talk to your parents and ask them to sighn you up for a babysitting class, so then you will have experience. (: and then, when you are done, talk to your neighbors and ask if they need a babysitter.
