Does anyone have tips for a Egyptian vacation?

I’m going to Sharm el Sheikh next week and was wondering if it is best to take all sterling, all US doallars, or also some Egyption currency? Also, will my UK hair straighteners be as powerful using a converter plug, as sometimes they don’t work as well abroad? Has anyone been there who can tell me what the nightlife in Naama Bay is like please? Thanks

Make sure to have a handy amount of 1 Egyptian pound bank notes for tipping. Do not exceed over 5 Egyptian pounds when tipping or you’re going to hear a lot of “baksheeh” (Arabian for tip asking).

ive been there and id say its best to take the currency of wherever you live and some denars.(i think thats what they use)
