Y’know a lot depends on what you choose.

I used to love cheese chilli rellenos. They take a big pepper, (poblano or anaheim), fill it with cheese, bread, fry, then serve covered with ranchero sauce and of course more cheese on top. They taste great but are full of fat, calories, and choleterol. Add to that I usually ate a bowl or two of fried tortilla chips with salsa, guacamole, and quesso before and a flan or sopapia afterword and I probably ate more than I should in three days in a single meal.

Now when I sit down I ask for a stack of corn tortillas to eat with the salsa instead of attacking the chips. I order spinach enchiladas verde. If I do have a dessert I split it with someone. I still often have guacamole; it is fatty but at least it is the healthier kind of fat.

Refried beans can be really fatty, some restaurants are better than others at preparing beans without a lot of grease. You can usually tell because fatty refrieds taste greasy. Some restaurants will serve you plain beans instead of refrieds on request. If your fav restaurant only has greasy refrieds you might have to skip this.
