Hurts to swallow

I’ve been ill with a slight temperature, all the normal cold symptoms, but especially a sore throat. My glands have been up for about 3 weeks now. I can feel them, they feel massive! I had that checked out, they said it wasn’t anything to worry about, but if I feel worse then I should come back to the doctors. originally it was a throat infection, but now it really hurts to talk and swallow especially. It wasn’t like that before. Its just getting worse over time - not better Could this just be to do with my cold? I think its kinda gone beyond that. I’ve had this for roughly 1 week and a couple of days. What could it be?

I’m going to the docs tomorrow, but I would just like to know what to expect?

Answer #1

Mix honey with hot water (and some lime too if you have some like emoheart said), and sip on it all day, it’ll soothe your throat. Honey kills bacteria more effective than antibiotics! Shouldn’t be anything too serious at the doc’s tomorrow.

Answer #2

Try eating lime, get lime juice and swallow it just plain. But make sure its fresh squeezed, that always helps when I have a sore throat Hope it helps (:
