How would a tattoo affect my life?

I was thinking of getting a tattoo. probably around 16 birthday (few months away :D).am probably gonna get some twin tribal on both of my arms. I was thinking of a twin tribal sleeve. going from my shoulders down to maybe my wrist. or my fingertips :D.but I heard jobs. hate tattoos. so I would hate to get it. and be refuse a job because of it. my mother and other peoples say. they cant do that no more?. is this true. like what could this affect later on in life?

Answer #1

well I hear that since they use a needle, getting a tattoo hurts, so you may also want to think about that.

Answer #2

well yes they do affect you. its spoils your blood and imagine when you get old and wrinkled, your skin will be messt up

Answer #3

I agree with tattoos affecting being getting jobs. I have 4 myself and I have them in areas that can be covered. thats my advice for you

Answer #4

I got my first tat at 14, I did have it covered at 17 with something different. My advice: think hard about what you want, and what you want to do in life.If you plan on being a tattoo artists tats are a way of advertising, but if you are going to work with the public or in an office, Employers don’t want to see them, or body piercings. FIRST thing is deciding what to get. REMEMBER this will be with you the rest of your life, so pot leafs and naked girls, and cartoon characters are not a good idea. SECOND thing is deciding where you want it. Best place is hidden, somewhere that a t-shirt and shorts will cover. NOT ON FOREARM, NOT ON CALF, NOT ON NECK, NOT ON HANDS!!! GOOD LUCK remember make sure they use a NEW needle..

This is similar to what others have said, but remember: You have to live with this for the rest of your life. Is it really worth it? Will I regret it later? I once saw a guy in his 70s to 80s with some tatoos, and trust me, it did NOT look that nice. Ugh!!! You really don’t want to be that person (I hope) – Just something to keep in mind.

  1. unless you have parental consent, and the place allows it, you wont be allowed to get it done
  2. yes, jobs dont like tattoos and in some places its illegal to get tattoos on your hands because youll be refused most work, customers dont want to see tatts on hands because it basically looks like the person is a criminal or thug/gangster, even if there not some places will allow tattoos on the arms, ones were your not directly dealing with customers some of these jobs are as a tattooist/body piercer constructon worker cleaning and delivery jobs and possibly at a bar for the otherss, if you cant cover it up with the unform the job requires, they wont want to see it
  3. a lot of kids who get tattoos when there young often regret them later on as they get older, so think long and hard about what you want and if you want it on you for the rest of your life
