How to study and do homework?
Does anyone have advice on staying focused when I’m doing my homework or studying for a test or exam? Thanks!
Make it fun for yourself (not that homework or studying is fun), but do little things that will help you retain info even if they’re childish, like I still have to do notecards to remember stuff sometimes, and get my boyfriend to study with me. Get yourself in a really relaxed environment, and dont let your mind stress over trying to remember it, study it enough times and you will retain it no problem, I had to remember over 107 I think abbreviations for my medical assisting class and with flash cards and some help I got it no problem. Just be comfortable and do little things that will help you, and give yourself a break once in a while, while in your studies, grab some food and a drink, flip on the tv.
either go somewhere quiet when trying to study for you don’t have distractions. listen to music when your doing homework, it would relax your mind and all and you can have a little enjoyment while doing boring homework
shut yourself in your room or as small a space as possible with homework surrounding you so if you look around the only thing to distract you is more homework. you can tell yourself to do one small assignment and then take a break and then do two assingments and another break. you could also listen to music. that efficiently disguises my english homework. =D
