How to Lose the Love Handles and Gain the confidence

I am 19 and weigh 172 pounds. I’m not overweight, but I’m not a small girl either. My whole family is on the bigger side and I dont’ want to be that way. I’m tired of feeling bad about how I look, I’ve been that way since I can remember. I want to be able to put on a tank top or a swimsuit on and not feel my sides bulging out of my shirt and my stomach overloading the front of me. It’s like I’m bloated all the time.

So…what is the fastest way to lose love handles? I’ve tried so many exercises, eat well, and see no change in anything…same with my legs. Can they ever be diminished?

joesaper, it doesnt mean she is overweight!! My bmi is like 20 or 21, and I still have really big lovehandles so yeah. :/ Although currently I have the same love handle problem, I think they have got smaller recently. :) finally working =D you have to do loads of CV work like walking, running, skipping, sports- whatever you enjoy to lose the fat. you cannot target where the fat comes of, but if you keep exercising eventually it will come of the dreaded love handles.

once you get thinner there you can start doing abs exercises- crunches, plank etc, to tone your abs and obliques (sides), however, before you loose the fat covering the tummy muscles, abs exercises will not improve your appearence as you cannot see them.

Try a website called ‘sparkteen’ or ‘sparkepeople’ - it has good exercise videos and support for FREE- I’d recomend it =)

no one is ever happy with their body, but it helps to find a swimsuit but a design that flatters- for example wide horzisontal stripes make you look fatter than you really are. Be aware of things like this and enjoy choosing one =) I hope this helps, Good luck hun =) x mail me if you need any more advice

you are overweight, and your health is at risk. you’re going to have to make healthier food choices, and commit to exercising. being healthy and fit isn’t just going on a diet it is a new way of living. prepare for serious commitment, and I agree that you should see a doctor first so you know what your limits are. don’t give up!

You’ve tried many exercises, but have you stuck to them for an extended period of time? Or did you get discouraged and give up? I think its the latter… talk to a doctor too, and see what they reccomend.
