How to get rid of lower stomach hair?

So only in the past year or two (I’m 17 and a half now) I’ve noticed a vertical line of hair of hair growth from where my bellybutton ends to the end of my stomach…it’s not “treasure trail” like guys have, it doesn’t connect to my pubic hair. I know guys have this and some girls get it who have dark hair, but the thing is I’m a natural blonde!! It was faint in colour at first and then I got worried my boyfriend would feel it and I shaved it!! :/ …I Know bad idea!! I kept doing this over the summer and it got to be the same colour as my pubic hair (light brown/dark blonde) …but I’m pale so it’s noticeable! and I didn’t shave in the direction of growth so it doesn’t lie flat. I’ve tried plucking and it works better and lasts longer but hurts like hell and I can’t let it grow out…which I have! I have an ok stomach and I’ve always wanted to get my bellybutton pierced but now this is in the way. Does anyone know what causes it?! Do I have more male hormones in my body, because I didn’t always have this in my teens and my mom and sister don’t have it. In regards to every other type of hair besides the type on my head, I’ve noticed that I take after my Dad a lot. I have thick eyebrows like him even-though I have thin hair. I have thick leg hair (it’s white blonde though!) and since 14, I’ve had a few random little white blonde hairs randomly growing on my chin! :( …my mom has very little hair anywhere on her body…she barely has eyebrows even!! Would this die down if I went on the pill because I’d have more female hormones?? HELP!!

same, it’s annoying and my father is also pretty hairy. so maybe it’s just genetics I don’t think its because of hormones. I agree with cassie.

Answer #2

why dont you wax it?? its just natural I’ve noticed lately I have it too but now I know not to shave it!! :)

Answer #3

I get it too, I just shave it though, it doesn’t take long so it’s no bother

Answer #4

I wouldn’t suggest shaving , plucking or even waxing because its just gonna grow back worse try bleaching it that way it wont be noticable . I personally dont have this problem but I know a lot of girls that do so I wouldnt worry to much about it .. I dont think its anything got to do with male hormones or anything like that its just the way some people are .. same way some people have really thick hair and some people hardly have any hair lol… And as for the hairs on the chin every girl gets that along with a girl mustash lol just get some waxing strips or just bleach it .. Xo:)
