How to clean up more space on my computer?

Here are some ideas:

• Go through your music and remove songs you don’t want.
• Delete unwanted files (photos, text files, home video clips, games, etc)
• Clear all of your temporary internet files/cookies. (You can do that and clean your hard disk with a program such as Ccleaner)
• Make sure your recycle bin is empty.
• Go through your installed programs and uninstall programs you don’t need or don’t use.
• Defragment your computer.

If you’ve done all of those things and STILL need more space, you could try purchasing an external harddrive or a flash drive to store files on. Flash drives are typically very cheap. If you shop around, you could get anywhere from 2-4GB flash drive for like $10-$15.

ok ccleaner doesnt do anything you cant do yourself… and I mean anything..

only use it if your not comfatable editing in your own registry

enable access to hidden files and folders and delete all the old files from uninstalled programs from the: Local, LocalLow and Roaming folders all in the users/appdata folder

c:/windows/temp and delete everything in there (I’ve deleted neally 2 gig from that folder before)

depending on how old your system is you could have a load of crap inside c:/windows/prefetch

this is the folder that holds all your history of opened files in pf format so it doesnt take windows as long to open them… mine is currently at 25mb

go to windows built in disk cleanup… its inside the accessories folder in the start menu and run that…

and dont 4get all your internet history etc etc

-Also search on Google “CCleaner”. -Download and install that program, and run a scan with it, takes no longer than 30 seconds.

         ~It deletes all temporary files, that you do not need that slow your computer down.
