How Soon After Sex Should I take A Test???

Ok so im having sex with my ex boyfriend that im still inlove with, we had sex last week on weds & thursday night and he didnt pull out in time for both nites,now I think I might be pregnant,not 100% sure because I took a test today and it said Negative, but im not due for my Period until 8th december,and I was told to take a test when its closer to my period date,is that true?? When me and him were together we did a mistake and I had the morning after pill but I now know if iam its tooo late for that and I dont like abortions and I know for a fact he will say have an abortion because he isnt ready for a kid and dont want to settle down yet , im 18 on 17th January and he is 20 on the 18th January, So pls I need answers :(

If you’ve had unprotected sex, you should wait at least 2 weeks after having unprotected sex to take the test. That, or wait until after you’ve missed your period. If you take it any sooner, there’s a high chance that the test won’t give an accurate result. (You can go to your doctor for a test if you want to be 100% positive.)

When it comes to having sex, regardless of who you’re having sex with, remember that using a condom is always very important. Not only does it help to prevent pregnancies, but it also helps to prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The pull-out method does NOT prevent pregnancies or STIs, so please don’t rely on that.

hey , yea some girls are afraid lolz, but ya see the only thing im wondering is bcoz my ex he will blitz out at me and my mum will FREAK out because iam 17 and she dont believe in me having a kid until im atleast in my 20’s .my friend took a test and she was negative well the test was and she took 5 of them and they were all negative she took one the day before her period and it was positive, but thanks for your advice , got anymore lol

Yeah, you should take the test after. And if you’re getting confused results from multiple tests, then you should go to a doctor and they would do a professional one and to be sure some would do an ultrasound too.

Take a test AFTER your first missed period. About 3-4 weeks after sex should give you a pretty good result.

I am amazed at how many questions there are like this, if you girls are so afraid that you are going to get pregnant than stop having unprotected sex, having said that retest yourself closer to your period date just to be sure but I think if the test was negative then you are good to go but what do I know?
